Mission Statement

Our sole and undivided purpose and operations is to provide incarcerated youth, age 13-25 re-entry skills back into a society, and to work with them while incarceration by providing Mentoring skills which include Bible Study, Financial Planning, communications-Public speaking skills, life enhancement and return-to work options.

Description

MATFA works to transition youth incarcerated at the California Youth Authority back into mainstream society upon their release from custody. The organization's volunteer mentors provide pre-release counseling and post re-lease support including job training and placement assistance, education and housing assistance.

I myself along with my own experiences had great help from MELANIE WASHINGTON with working/mentoring my children. I can never thank her ENOUGH! It wasn't easy; I didn't give up on them all through the grace of our LORD ..
