The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. At work today in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities, we restore safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The IRC leads the way from harm to home.

This is a great organization alongside a fantastic group of people to work with! I highly recommend. Please note, I have volunteered my time with many businesses and this one is by far the most involved. You must be committed to learning here. The reward will pay off :)

The IRC in San Diego comprises a group of caring, invested individuals. In all my interactions with the IRC, I found the instructors and advocates to be genuine, heartfelt, and welcoming. The people I have met, refugees, staff and volunteers alike, have brightened my days and reminded me of goodness in others. The IRC does much with little, and helps refugees to make a new home here rather than just to move from one country to another. I would highly recommend supporting this excellent organization.
