Due to rising costs, our fees are increasing from 1st April, 2023. Anyone who books before this date will pay the old rate of 6,000 baht.
An initial registration fee of 8,000 Baht (about £200) is charged for the first 2 weeks (minimum stay 2 weeks). Thereafter, there is a weekly fee of just 1,000 baht.

Fees & Payments

WHY WE REQUIRE FEES FOR VOLUNTEERS

The fees charged go toward rent, fuel, toner, internet, lesson materials and transport to and from the schools. VTT is run by volunteers. We receive no funding from outside sources, nor do we charge the schools.

VOLUNTEER FEE PAYMENT

Payment should be made on arrival.

HOW MUCH MONEY I NEED

What you spend is up to you – but we can give you an idea of costs so you can work out a budget. The figures are right at the time of writing but may change. Always have spare money available. Volunteers pay their own flight and find their own food and accommodation in the village.

Accommodation: 250 baht a night minimum. This will buy you a dorm bed; 500 baht (250 baht each) will get you a reasonable room shared with a friend; and luxury comes at good prices too. There is enormous choice and prices depend on what you choose and the time of the year. If you are on a budget.

Food: Lunch and drinks are free when teaching. But, outside that, you need to budget for your meals and drinks. You can eat well at Thai eateries for about £10 a day. If you want pizza or an Indian meal, the price is higher. The area is easy for vegetarians and vegans.

Outings: It is worth having money for seeing the area. There are fabulous places, including 30km of local beaches, Khao Sok national park and the Andaman islands.
