Partners In Care (PIC) is a private non-profit whose mission is to empower older adults to age in their own homes through a unique culture of service exchange. Handymen are needed for small household repairs such as handrail installation, fixing a leaking faucet, repairing/replacing toilet fixtures/doors. Volunteers need not be skilled in all areas -- just have a willingness to help. Participants, ages 60+, who provide services can also receive services when the need arises. Description
Partners In Care is a credit exchange program designed to create community by linking older adults and with neighbors who volunteer their time to provide transportation, handyman services, and other errands. Participants may provide services, receive services, or both. Ride Partners provides mileage reimbursement to volunteer drivers.
